Friday November 5, 10:30 - 11:30 am. Artists and Social Change in America with docent Bob Ferguson from the Smithsonian American Art Museum.

Our nation's history is replete with events and forces that have changed the social fabric of the country. During this virtual tour, we will be looking at the ways in which American artists have reacted to those changes. Among the issues included: The Indian Removal Act of 1830, The Civil War and its aftermath, Slavery, Great Migration and the Harlem Renaissance, The Role of Women, Race and Social Justice
