The Renaissance was a time of great socio-economic, political, and cultural change which radically influenced the development of Western art. The rise of classicism, humanism and scientific inquiry brought new approaches to artistic imagery that we will see in the works of Italian masters such as Leonardo, Raphael, Titian, and their predecessors. This special tour will be given by Estelle Quain, a docent at the National Gallery of Art and FHNN member.
