Program Coordinator Job Posting
Little Falls Village | Bethesda, Maryland

Part time 20 to 25 hours per week | 24 dollars per hour | Anticipated start November or December 2026

Little Falls Village is seeking a warm, organized, and resourceful Program Coordinator to manage educational, social, wellness, and community programs for older adults in Bethesda and nearby neighborhoods.

LFV is a small, grassroots nonprofit built around “neighbors helping neighbors.” The coordinator works closely with the Executive Director, staff, volunteers, presenters, partners, and Village members to turn good ideas into well-run programs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the programming calendar, deadlines, and follow-through.
  • Coordinate presenters, hosts, venues, volunteers, partners, and logistics.
  • Create registrations and maintain accurate program information in ClubExpress and shared systems.
  • Support in-person, Zoom, and hybrid programs.
  • Gather and draft program details for newsletters, emails, and other communications.
  • Track attendance and statistics for organizational and grant reporting.
  • Sustain recurring programs and help develop new ones.
  • Anticipate accessibility, transportation, and technology needs.

Qualifications

  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication.
  • Relevant experience coordinating programs, events, projects, education, recreation, or community activities.
  • Comfort working independently while keeping colleagues informed.
  • Sound judgment, practical problem-solving, and a warm manner.
  • Comfort using or learning Zoom, Microsoft Office, shared calendars, ClubExpress, and online registration systems.
  • Genuine enjoyment of working with older adults and people from varied backgrounds.

Schedule, Compensation, and Support
The position is expected to average approximately 25 hours per week. LFV may consider a regular schedule of 20 to 25 hours for an exceptional candidate. At least 15 hours per week will ordinarily be worked in LFV’s Bethesda office; remaining hours may be remote or at programs. Occasional evening or weekend programs and local travel are required.

Pay is $24 per hour. LFV does not offer employer-sponsored health insurance, retirement, paid vacation, or paid personal leave; earned sick and safe leave is provided as required by Maryland law. LFV provides a work laptop and one to two weeks of direct training with the current coordinator.

We welcome applicants returning to the workforce, pursuing a second career, seeking meaningful part-time work, or following a traditional nonprofit or program-management path.

How to Apply
Email a resume and a brief statement explaining your interest to info@littlefallsvillage.org and how your experience would help you coordinate LFV’s programs. Applications received by October 9, 2026, will receive priority consideration.
