About this event
Newsweek calls Allan Lichtman “the Nostradamus” of politics. Lichtman has suggested that polling is underestimating support for the Democratic Party and Vice President Kamala Harris. He is a distinguished professor of history at American University who lives in Bethesda. His fundamental argument—based upon systematic analysis of historical precedents back to the Civil War—is that election outcomes are not determined by campaign spending. Instead, Lichtman uses 13 “keys” to the White House to make his picks, which range from economic indicators to candidates’ charisma. Lichtman received his PhD from Harvard University in 1973 with a specialty in modern American history and quantitative methods. Join us for an interesting program featuring Prof. Lichtman!
