This in-person, free event will feature Marielba Rivera-Valazquez, estate and long-term care planning attorney licensed to practice in MD and DC. She will start with an overview of estate planning, delve into ancillary documents, and answer estate planning questions. Estate Planning does not only encompass death-time planning, but also incapacity during life. Ancillary documents are what we consider "incapacity planning" documents. Below are examples of ancillary documents that give you the opportunity to list who you would like to step into your shoes if you were unable:
—Power of Attorney —Advance Medical Directive (also known as Living Will) —Medical Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment (MOLST) —Standby Guardian Designations
LOCATION: St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church, Bethesda.
